Plant Area Supervisor

Hours of work: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8.30-5.30 and alternate weekends

This is an exciting time for the right candidate to assist in the day to day running of our expanding outdoor plant area.

The successful candidates duties will include:

Daily plant maintenance, such as watering, pest and disease identification and treatment, stock control, receiving delivery’s as well as maintaining and building plant themed displays throughout the plant area. You will be able to confidently assist customers in their purchases by providing expert advice on plants and associated products. You will also be required to help in other areas of the garden centre when required. You will also be assisting the plant team with purchasing.

In this role you will be required to be:

Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks such as the moving of heavier stock/display items, moving heavy trolleys and loading vehicles.

Confident and possess a positive can-do attitude.

Able to display a high degree of plant and general horticultural knowledge.

Able to show strong communication and customer service skills.

Able to work in a team and independently.
