The weeping fig, Ficus Benjamina, is among the most stately and elegant of houseplants. It's graceful, gently weeping branches are covered in dark green, glossy leaves – sometimes prettily variegated - like a waterfall of soothing greenery. It’s perfect in bathrooms or living rooms, growing quite tall and impressive in time – up to 2m (7ft) if looked after well.
Give it a bright spot, but avoiding direct sun, and feed fortnightly with a liquid fertiliser. Mist with water or wipes with a damp cloth from time to time to keep those beautiful leaves healthy and bring them up with a shine to show them off at their very best.
