Welcome to Lakeside Garden Centre
and The Garden Room Coffee Shop
You will find us on the A291 close to Warminster and right on the doorstep of the beautiful Longleat estate.
In addition to a wide selection of plants, shrubs and trees, we also have a wide range of garden tools and supplies. You will also find a select range of garden furniture from manufacturers such as Alexander Rose and Kettler; we are also a distributor of the world famous Broil King barbecues.
Lakeside is also home to The Garden Room, our very own coffee shop. Here you will always find a tempting selection of home-made cakes and light refreshments.
We provide a relaxed and friendly environment, with approachable and knowledgeable staff who will all be more than happy to assist you.
With plentiful free car parking, our Lakeside garden centre is situated at Crockerton just off the A350, close to Warminster and right on the doorstep of the beautiful Longleat estate. As our name suggests our centre is situated alongside a picturesque lake and you are welcome to stroll around the lake and meet the ducks and geese that have made their home with us.

Friendly staff and great service
We like to have lots of members of staff available on site all day every day – we’re the ones in purple watering and pruning but more importantly we want to be available to help and talk through your gardening enquiries. If we don’t know the answer we’ll find someone who does, and the feedback you give us about what has worked for you we pass on to the next customer and expand our knowledge of what grows well locally and what might be an issue.
With many products (especially compost) being both bulky and heavy we’re on hand to help load your car and can also deliver if required. Week to week we focus on what to sow, tools for the jobs you should be doing and plants in flower – so if you want an all year garden keep coming back throughout the year and buying a bit of what you find.
Don’t forget the pot feet!
What’s the one piece of advice we’d like to tell everyone? – Don’t forget the pot feet – if you have any pots outside it’s important to let the water drain from the pot. Pot feet may feel like an unnecessary extra, but they do an important job: plants don’t like sitting in water, and without pot feet the drainage holes will soon block. The water will subsequently build up in the base, not great for plant roots but more importantly in the winter as the temperature drops the water freezes and will crack the pot. The pot feet simply give space to let the water drain away and keep your pots in one piece year on year, an easy, cost effective solution.

We hope to see you in person soon.
