Fonthill is very conveniently located on the A431 at Bitton, on the scenic route between Bath and Bristol. Lakeside garden centre is situated at Crockerton just off the A350, close to Warminster and right on the doorstep of the beautiful Longleat estate.

Sow winter salads
Sow a few lettuces and other salad ingredients in modules to keep in a coldframe, and then when gaps appear you can just drop them in to keep the crops coming. Loose-leaf lettuces like 'Lollo Rossa', beetroot, mizuna or spinach all do the job nicely.
